I’m excited to announce that I will be taking on the challenge of hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in early February 2026—a journey that’s been a lifelong goal of mine. For years, I’ve dreamed of standing at the summit, and now, I’m not just doing it for myself, but supporting a cause that’s close to my heart.
Living in Baltimore has deeply shaped my perspective. The city’s parks, its people, and its vibrant, diverse communities have all inspired me in profound ways. Parks are not just recreational areas; they’re safe havens that bring people together, promote well-being, and strengthen neighborhoods. Whether it's walking through Druid Hill Park or spending time at Patterson Park, I see the power these spaces have to foster a sense of belonging and community.
This climb is more than just an adventure; it’s an opportunity to give back to the places and people who have shaped me. I care deeply about environmental conservation and community development. Through this charity challenge, I’m not only pushing myself to reach new heights physically, but I’m also supporting the work that strengthens Baltimore, protects our green spaces, and preserves the natural world.
I believe we all have a responsibility to protect the environment and care for the communities we’re part of. As someone who has been deeply impacted by the beauty of nature and the strength of local communities, I want to take this step toward a future where both are nurtured and preserved for generations to come.
This climb represents both a personal milestone and a chance to make a difference, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to merge my passion for adventure with my commitment to helping others. I look forward to the journey ahead, not just as an individual, but as a part of something much bigger—working together to ensure that the spaces we love and the people we care about continue to thrive.
